ARMENIA TO STRIVE FOR USING POSSIBILITIES GIVEN BY EASTERN PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM TO MAXIMUM EXTENT

YEREVAN, MARCH 3, NOYAN TAPAN. Armenia is interested in development
of both bilateral and many-sided relations with Poland. RA President
Serzh Sargsyan declared this on March 3, receiving newly appointed
Ambassador of Poland to Armenia Zdzislaw Rachinsky on the occasion
of handing his credentials. He mentioned that cooperation with the
European Union is one of Armenia’s foreign political priorities and
emphasized that active work is expected in that direction as well.
Z. Rachinsky assured that during his tenure he will do his utmost
to deepen cooperation in various spheres. He said that during his
one-week stay in Armenia he has already made sure that Armenia is
sincerely interested in development of new quality relations with
Poland and European Union in general. The Ambassador also mentioned
that Poland is one of the initiators of the EU Eastern Partnership
program, which can be a good basis for active cooperation.
S. Sargsyan said that Armenia will strive for using the possibilities
given by the program to the maximum extent. He and the newly
appointed Ambassador exchanged thoughts over possible directions of
Armenia-Poland partnership, economic projects. S. Sargsyan attached
a special importance to expansion of contacts in the humanitarian
sphere. The sides considered the Polish Armenian community a natural
bridge connecting the two countries.
According to RA President’s Press Office, S. Sargsyan assured that the
newly appointed Ambassador during his activity will receive maximum
assistance from the Armenian state government bodies.
