HEAD OF EUROPEAN PEOPLE’S PARTY: ARMENIA IS A EUROPEAN COUNTRY

ArmInfo. Armenia is a European country and the European People’s Party
is interested in cooperation with Armenian parties, said ex-premier
of Belgium, chairman of the European People’s Party Wilfried Martens
during the presentation of his autobiography in Yerevan.
He said that the European People’s Party wants to have in Armenia
partners and parties ready to join the EPP. He added that one of the
goals of his visit to accelerate these processes. After his visit an
EPP delegation will pay a visit to Armenia to establish contacts with
the parties interested in cooperation, Martens said. He also pointed
out that Armenia faces the same problems as the other countries of
Europe, and all European nations can join efforts to overcome the
common problems and restore the human dignity and respect for law
being guided by universal values.
