Richard Armitage, who served as U.S. Deputy Secretary of State during
the first term of President George Bush, is perturbed that President
Obama’s administration has not intervened in averting passage of
Armenian Genocide HR 252.

"The Turkish people should take a deep breath and remember that the
resolution is a nonbinding one," he said. "And this vote is just at
a committee level," Armitage said to Hurriyet. The former official
stated that at the time Secretary of State Colin Powell actively
worked to stop a similar bill. "It is disappointing to see the U.S.

administration not using enough political muscle to stop the resolution
being heard this time."

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
