Voting in the Committee of Congress should be called not a comedy, but
a tragicomedy, said on Saturday Deputy Prime Minister and State
Minister of Turkey Bulent Arinc, Cihan news agency reported.

Committee on Foreign Affairs of the U.S. Congress adopted a resolution
recognizing the so-called "Armenian genocide". 23 congressmen voted
for the adoption of resolution, 22 – against.

Stressing that this ballot has led to the unfortunate and laughable
situations, he noted that in the Turkish parliamentary system such
things can not happen.

"This decision is not the end of the world", said Bulent Arinc.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
