ARMENIAN NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL: NATO PROGRAMME IS EFFECTIVELY IMPLEMENTED IN ARMENIA

ArmInfo. The inter-department commission, which coordinates
Armenia-NATO partnership, has positively assessed implementation of
IPAP with NATO in 2009.
As press-service of Armenian National Security Council reported,
Secretary of Armenian National Security Council Artur Bagdasaryan
said when concluding on the results of 2009 that 122 events were
held within the frames of IPAP. He also added that this year the
joint military exercise with NATO ‘Armenian-2010’ in the sphere of
extraordinary situations is expected. For this reason it is necessary
to finish drawing out of National Conception for Civil Defence and
the military doctrine.
‘In case of timely fulfillment of programmes, we may fulfill the
planned reforms more effectively if a new programme with NATO will
be drawn out at the end of 2010’, – Bagdasaryan said. During the
sitting of the commission held on 9 March, its members presented
how the events foreseen by the programme were fulfilled in Foreign
Ministry, Justice Ministry, Health Ministry, Emergency Ministry,
National Security Service and Police. It was also mentioned at the
sitting that NATO assessment group has positively assessed the process
of the events fulfillment foreseen by IPAP in Armenia.
