ARMENIA’S AMBASSADOR COMPLETING HIS MISSION IN ROMANIA

Armenia’s Ambassador to Romania Yeghishe Sargsyan had a meeting
with the President of Romania Trian Basescu. During the meeting
the President emphasized the importance of the relations between
Armenia and Romania and expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his
activity targeted at the development of bilateral ties and expansion
of cooperation.
The interlocutors expressed confidence that President Serzh Sargsyan’s
scheduled visit to Romania would greatly contribute to the further
development of the Armenian-Romanian cooperation.
At the request of President Basescu, Ambassador Sargsyan presented the
latest developments in the process of settlement of the Karabakh issue
and the efforts targeted at the normalization of the Armenian-Turkish
relations.
The outgoing Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Romanian authorities
for the support and cooperation throughout his tenure in office.
