ARMENTEL SUPPORTS HOLDING OF FORUM ON SAFETY OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN

ArmInfo. The forum on safety of mobile communication for the school
children was held in Yerevan under the support of ArmenTel. Deputy
Labour and Education Ministers of Armenia Filaret Berikyan and Manuk
Lazarian as well as head UNICEF to Armenia Leili Moshiri took part
in the forum.
‘As socially responsible mobile operator ArmenTel understands its
role in development of culture and the skills of mobile communication
using among children. Unlike other countries in Armenia children are
not so much vulnerable to blackmail and threats spread by means of
mobile communication. But we think it is better to warn the danger
than to try to fight its consequences’, – the head of ArmenTel Public
Communication Department Anush Begloyan said.
According to the CASP representatives, which investigated mobile
communication using by the children in 6 Armenian schools, chiefly
children from the conflicting families are sensitive to blackmail
and lie.
‘When a kid is offered communication via the phone, he does not think
about the threat hidden under it. This is an opportunity for him to
forget about the difficulties in his family, to replenish deficit of
communication and attention’, – CASP specialists said.
