Abdullah Gul "Those who made this decision and who voted in favor of
the resolution were not historians."

Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Thursday that the resolution
on Armenian allegations which was approved by Swedish Parliament did
not have any credibility.

Replying to questions on the resolution on Armenian allegations
regarding 1915 incidents approved by Swedish parliament, Gul said,
"all we know how such decisions are made. It does not have any
credibility for us."

Those who made this decision and who voted in favor of the resolution
were not historians, he said.

Swedish Parliament on Thursday approved a resolution on Armenian
allegations regarding 1915 incidents.

The resolution including recognition of Armenian allegations was
approved with 131 votes against 130.

Turkey strongly rejects the genocide allegations and regards the
events as civil strife in wartime which claimed lives of many Turks
and Armenians.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
