A working group with Grigor Hayrapetian on the head has set to
work over foundation of the Armenian political party in Estonia,
Postimees reports.
The initiative’s supporters called for Armenians of Estonia to join
them, as for party’s registering it is necessary to bring together
at least thousand members.
"We, Estonian Armenians, wish for being useful to Estonia and
contribute to county’s development," said supporters. They also
pointed that among party’s key objectives is to provide opportunities
for learning and developing the Armenian language and culture, saving
links with Motherland. Besides, activists are intending to establish
media, broadcasting in Armenian.
It’s worth mentioning, that Edgar Savisaar, Mayor of Tallinn, has
already approved the initiative to establish a party.
