Westerwelle met with the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian
in Berlin on March 15.
APA reports quoting German Foreign Ministry that the discussions
focused, inter alia, the Armenian-Turkish relations and the current
situation in Southern Caucasus in the context of the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict.
Westerwelle Minister and Foreign Minister Nalbadian agreed that in
the process of rapprochement between Armenia and Turkey, a window of
opportunity was opened. Federal Westerwelle stressed that both sides
should do everything to maintain the momentum of the convergence and
to allow for early ratification of the signed protocols.
