The voting of the committee on foreign relations was not obligatory
measure and this bill will be sent to House of Representatives for
consideration.

Such resolutions are adopted in such committees of the Congress
every year, but the resolution must first pass in the House
of Representatives. But as is known, Obama’s administration has
pledged to prevent the consideration of this issue in the House of
Representatives of the US Congress, Eugeny Chausov, analyst of the
US Stratfor analytical center (), said.

He considers that the resolution of the committee is an extremely
politicized problem.

"Turkish FM Agmet Davutoglu said the voting will harm relations between
Turkey and the United States and Ankara recalled its ambassador when
the decision was adopted in the committee.

Turkey is of a great geopolitical importance for the United States.

Ankara can influence key issues such as war in Iraq and the issue of
emerging Russia. However, though the decision is naturally harmful for
the current political situation between Turkey and the United States
but it is not likely to damage the strategic relations between the
two countries.

Azerbaijan has supported Turkey condemning the voting and, by the
irony of fate, Baku may ultimately benefit from the decision since
voting affects the normalization of relations between Turkey and
Armenia, the ratification of protocols that have not been ratified
by the parliaments of the two countries yet. Though there are serious
complications on the protocols, such issues as the Azerbaijani demands
on Nagorno Karabakh and recognition of "genocide" make the ratification
of the protocols by Turkey highly unlikely" – said Eugeny Chausov.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
