YEREVAN, MARCH 17, NOYAN TAPAN. In the March 17 morning Catholicos of
All Armenians Karekin II and Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill
I accompanied by the two churches’ clergy visited Tsitsernakaberd
Memorial Complex to pay a tribute of their respect to the memory of
many Armenian victims. The two pastors laid flowers in the memorial
complex, then a requiem ceremony was held at the eternal fire conducted
by His Holiness the Patriarch.
According to the Information Services of the Mother See of Holy
Echmiadzin, after the prayer the pastors visited the Institute-Museum
of Armenian Genocide and walked about the exhibition halls accompanied
by museum director Hayk Demoyan. Then Patriarch of All Moscow and
All Russia made notes in the guests’ book. Patriarch Kirill planted
a tree at the Memory Park.
