USA PLAYS PROFITABLE FOR ARMENIA ROLE OF FACTOR ON CONSTRAINING TURKEY

ArmInfo. USA plays a profitable for Armenia role of a factor on
constraining Turkey, an independent analyst Igor Muradyan told
journalists today.
"This role was earlier played by Russia by quite clear reasons,
however, it does not succeed in it now. In view of this, the
United States took the same stance as Russia with regard to Turkey’s
aspirations, however, event the USA cannot unambiguously successfully
perform the part it assumed. The Department of State could not
achieve Ankara’s consent even in the issue of unblocking of the
Armenian-Turkish border, say nothing of more serious issues", he said.
According to the analyst, the USA fundamentally wants nothing from
Turkey concerning ratification of the Armenian-Turkish Protocols,
as the Americans’ goal has been quite achieved, and Turkey has been
represented in the world as a non-constructive state. "New political
plots will shortly appear in view of the situation in Turkey, Iran
and Iraq, which the USA will still practice, however, the Armenian
episode at this stage has already been completed", he said.
