Armenian minister, OSCE mediators discuss Karabakh

[Presenter-read report over video of a meeting] [Armenian] Foreign
Minister [Edvard] Nalbandyan has met the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs
[Yuriy] Merzlyakov [of Russia], [Bernard] Fassier [of France], and
[Robert] Bradtke [of the USA] and the personal representative of the
OSCE chairman-in-office, Andrzej Kasprzyk.

The latest developments in the process of the Artsakh [Karabakh]
settlement talks, and the possibility of the co-chairs’ visit to the
region were on the agenda. The co-chairs informed Nalbandyan about the
results of discussions with the Azerbaijani foreign minister held in
Paris on 5 March. Nalbandyan drew the attention of the co-chairs to
continuous attempts of the Azerbaijani side to distort the essence and
sense of the negotiation process, emphasizing that they negatively
impacted the atmosphere of the negotiations and hindered their
progress.

Speaking about the participation of Nagornyy Karabakh in the
negotiations, the Armenian foreign minister emphasized that the issue
could not be solved without the direct involvement of the authorities
of the [unrecognized] Nagornyy Karabakh republic in the process.
