N. RYZHKOV: RUSSIA TO SUPPORT ARMENIA’S INTERESTS IN ARMENIAN-TURKISH NORMALIZATION

ArmInfo. The Armenian Embassy in Russia organized an official
reception on Tuesday in honor of the Armenian-Russian Commission for
Inter-parliamentary Cooperation.

ArmInfo’s correspondent to Moscow reports that Armenian Ambassador
to Russia Oleg Yesayan, Advisor to President of Armenia Michael
Haroutiunyan, Advisor to NA Chairman Hovhanness Shahinyan and other
officials also attended the reception. The results of the 18th
session of the Inter-parliamentary Commission were summed up during
the reception. The 18th session discussed a broad spectrum of political
and economic issues. After the reception, Nikolay Ryzhkov, the Russian
Co-Chair of the Armenian-Russian Inter-parliamentary Commission,
told Armenian journalists that the two countries’ parliamentarians
should well coordinate their actions at international organizations.

As regards the Armenian-Turkish relations, he said Russia will support
Armenia’s interests in the normalization process.

"Russia is ready to help Armenia in that issue," N. Ryzhkov said. The
Armenian delegation will arrive back to Yerevan tonight.
