RA PREMIER MEETS U.N. COORDINATOR

RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan held a meeting on March 24 with
U.S. Coordinator Dafina Gercheva.

The RA Government’s press service told NEWS.am that the RA Premier
pointed out Armenia’s appreciation of cooperation with the U.N. and
attaches high importance to joint programs.

Among the priorities of cooperation are, according to the sides,
ensuring harmonious regional development, enhancing management
efficiency to reduce corruption risks, reforming the business
environment by creating equal conditions for SMBs and simplifying tax
and customs procedures. The top priority task is expanding cooperation
in scientific and IT fields, poverty reduction, public health and
gender problems. The RA Premier informed the U.N. Coordinator of the
Ra Government’s anti-crisis program.

Mrs. Gercheva pointed out a number of effective measures implemented
in Armenia, stating that the experience can be beneficial.
