YEREVAN, MARCH 24, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Prime Minister Tigran
Sargsyan received today Regional Director of the International
Finance Corporation’s Central and Eastern Europe Snezhana Stojkovic
and members of her entourage.

Governmental press service told Armenpress that welcoming the guest
the prime minister highly praised the involvement of the International
Finance Corporation in the investment programs implemented in Armenia.

The head of the government described the meeting as a good opportunity
for summing up the implemented works and point out new programs. The
parties considered it necessary the implementation of new initiatives
directed toward the overcoming the consequences of global economic
crisis.

During the meeting the details on the implementation of reforms in the
business and inspection spheres have been discussed. The prime minister
highlighted the applying of international progressive experience in
providing relevant consultation.

As a prior direction of partnership Tigran Sargsyan singled out
the participation of International Finance Corporation in high and
information technology financing as well as in applying corporative
management culture, particularly in the consolidation of institute
of independent directors.

The head of the government considered the involvement of the IFC in
the venture foundations forming in Armenia, pointing out the necessity
of working out a form of participation.

The interlocutors also referred to the issues on energy, re-cultivation
of agricultural products, creation of free economic zone, wide
involvement in the private capital of the All-Armenian Bank.

The parties also highlighted the expansion of cooperation in different
spheres for revealing the potential.
