WWII VETERANS TO GET BACK THEIR SOVIET-TIME SAVINGS ON A PRIORITY BASIS

ArmInfo. WWII veterans to get back their Soviet-time savings on
a priority basis, say the amendments to the law on the national
budget 2010 adopted by the Government and submitted to the National
Assembly today.

"I think that we will be unanimous on this matter," says Prime Minister
of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan. He says that 29,000 of 62,000 citizens
who have lost their savings at the Republican Bank of Armenian SSR
(branch of Sberbank of USSR) have already got their money back. There
are 3,900 veterans having Soviet-time savings with as much as 1.7bln
AMD to allocated for this purpose in 2010
