Levon Aronyan woke up too late

The chess tournament `Amber’ in France finished. The Armenian Grand
Master Levon Aronyan in the last 11th round got a privileged over
Peres Dominges with 1.5:0.5 points, but unfortunately it didn’t give
him the opportunity to get higher positions. Lveon Aronyan woke up too
late and started to take victories only when `the train had left long
before’. Our chess player took the 9th position with 11 points. Vasili
Ivanchuk and Magnus Karlsen took the 1st-2nd place with 14.5 points
each.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
