On the 27th March, 2010 the RA Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan
received the delegation headed by the US co-chair of the OSCE MG
Robert Bradtke. The ambassador of the USA to Armenia Mary Yovanovich
was also present.

Greeting the guests Seyran Ohanyan congratulated Robert Bradtke on
the active work done as a US co-chair. Talking about the settlement
of the Nagorno Kharabakh conflict Seyran Ohanyan underlined that the
RA Government see the solution to this issue only through peaceful
negotiations, whereas, the periodical threats and the increase of
armament in the Azerbaijani side hinder the process creating a tense
atmosphere in the region.

The Minister of Defence hoped that in the frames of the OSCE MG a
mutually acceptable variant for the conflict settlement will be sought
out. The two sides recognized that it is unacceptable to link the
peaceful settlement process of the Nagorno Kharabakh conflict to the
Armenian-Turkish relations. In order to establish trust in the frontier
area Seyran Ohanyan informed that by the decision of the RA President
the two Azerbaijani dead bodies found in the territory of Armenia after
the March 3 events, and the Azerbaijani captive previously arrested in
the RA territory, by the humanitarian initiative of the Armenian side,
through the ICRC will be transferred to the Azerbaijani side. During
the meeting other matters on regional security were also discussed.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
