Izyum City Council (Kharkov Region) has abolished the decision it
made in late 2009 to recognize the "Armenian genocide", Chairman of
the Crimean Azeri Community and Crimean Organization of Congress of
Azerbaijanis Rahim Humbatov said.
"Reversal of the decision to recognize the" Armenian genocide" was
preceded by a lengthy work carried out by leadership of the Izyum
City Council. After a long struggle we succeeded in abolishing the
illegal and unjust decision," he said.
"I think this is a great success in bringing historical truth to
world community," Humbatov added.
The head of the Crimean Azeri community said the abolition of the
recognition of "Armenian genocide" occurred first in the world.
