No structural or staff changes need to be made in the Coalition
Government of Armenia. The issue is not on the agenda at all, the
Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) member Gagik Melikyan told NEWS.am,
commenting on the criticism some political forces leveled against
the Government.
According to him, under the circumstances, the RA Government does
its best for a socio-economic recovery in the country. The economic
indexes of the last three months are evidence thereof. "Of course,
Armenia suffers economic troubles of the post-crisis period, which,
however, is natural. Similar situations can be observed in many other
countries," Melikyan said. As to the aims of the political forces
constantly criticizing the coalition government, Melikyan said:
"They aim at destabilizing the situation."
Chairman of the Committee on Defense National Security and Internal
Affairs, RA Parliament, member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation
Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) Hrair Karapetyan told an Apr 1 press conference
that the coalition government of Armenia is going through critical
times and needs radical reforms. He considers the present halfhearted
economic recovery measures ineffective and hopes Serzh Sargsyan will
draw conclusions and take radical steps to improve the situation.
Earlier, the leader of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Gagik Tsarukyan
fiercely criticized RA Economy Minister, RPA member Nerses Yeritsyan.
