Turkish Ambassador to the United States Namik Tan arrived in
Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.
Turkey had recalled Tan after the Foreign Relations Committee of the
United States House of Representatives adopted a resolution on March
4 that supported Armenian allegations regarding the incidents of 1915.
Prior to his departure for the U.S., Tan said, "our interlocutors
understood the message we wanted to give. We have received satisfactory
answers. It is time to return to my office."
