TURKISH HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDER SLAGS OFF AZERBAIJAN

Arminfo. At today’s press-conference in Yerevan the head of Human
Rights Foundation of Turkey Yavuz Onen slagged off militaristic
rhetoric of Azerbaijan.

‘We condemn all the parties which come forward with militaristic
statements. If Azerbaijan does it, we condemn Azerbaijan as well’,
– the Turkish human rights defender said.

He thinks that territorial arguments and requirements are leading to
the situation that human rights are violated in the region. ‘We also
condemn the militaristic policy of Turkey which spends big sums for
weapons, though these funds may be spent for other better intentions’,
– Yavuz Onen said.
