ArmInfo. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Troika Dialog Group
Ruben Vardanyan says that he is not going to engage in political
activities in Armenia.
"I am not even going to comment on such journalistic allegations,
especially as I am not yet going to sell my stake in Troika Dialog,"
Vardanyan said during a press-conference today.
To remind, recently one of the leading Russian periodicals said that
in the next 1.5 years Standard Bank may buy at least controlling
interest in Troika Dialog. Last year the South African company bought
36.427% blocking stake in the Russian group.
The source assumed that, if Standard Bank buys all of Troika Dialog’s
shares, "Vardanyan may focus on charitable and education projects or
may engage in political activities in his native Armenia."
Vardanyan said that his group is not going to sell its controlling
stake to Standard Bank. "Even more we are not going to sell it to
foreigners," he said.
