Some mass media outlets of Azerbaijan persistently spread false
information that sub-units of Armenian armed forces violate the
cease-fire regime and open fire on Azerbaijani positions in various
sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone.
Such information not corresponding to the reality sometimes comes
to the point of ridiculousness. Early on the morning of April –
at 10.06 am, information was posted on Azerbaijani website 1news.az
that Armenian sub-units fired at Azerbaijani positions on the same
day from 10.30 am to 11 am, from 11.30 am to 12.30 am, and from 9.40
pm to 9.55 pm.
The Defence Ministry of Armenia states once again that the Armenian
armed forces strictly observe the cease-fire regime and take the
respective measures only in case of violations and shots by the
Azerbaijani side. The Ministry of Defence of Armenia calls on the
Azerbaijani mass media to refrain from spreading false information
and atrificially straining the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani
contact line.
