On April 12, Lebanese President Michel Suleiman met with visiting
speaker of Armenian parliament Hovik Abrahamyan to discuss bilateral
relations and regional issues, the RA NA press office reported.

Commenting on Armenian-Turkish Protocols, the RA NA speaker
characterized linkage of Karabakh issue to ratification of Protocols
as unacceptable. "Armenia seeks to establish neighborly relations
in the region; however we’ll never sacrifice our national dignity,"
he stressed.

For his part, the Lebanese President emphasized the importance
of peaceful settlement of conflicts and assessed highly the
Armenia-Lebanon cooperation within international institutions.

Dwelling on Karabakh issue, Mr. Abrahamyan noted that NKR people’s
right to self determination and security of Karabakh people are the
cornerstones of conflict settlement. "Other than that, Armenia is
open to mutual concessions."

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
