‘The most important item of the process of settlement to the
Karabakh conflict is the Nagorno-Karabakh people’s tight to
self-determination, security and status. Nagorno-Karabakh can’t ever
be part of Azerbaijan. What for other subjects, Armenia can make
mutual concessions," said Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia Hovik
Abrahamian at the meeting with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman.

The Parliament spokesperson said that Hovik Abrahamian also referred to
the issue of Karabakh at the meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister
of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Ali Shami. In particular Hovik
Abrahamian said that the solution to the conflict can be provided
trough peace meanings within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.

Referring to the process of Armenia-Turkey reconciliation, Speaker said
he considers Turkey’s attempts to link the process with settlement to
the Karabakh issue to be unacceptable. "Armenia wishes for friendly
relations with neighbors, but these relations can’t be reached at
the expense of nation’s dignity," he said.

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman stressed the importance of
normalisation of relations trough diplomatic meanings, and said he
is aware of those pains, that genocide and death marches cause. He
said considers violation of nations’ rights to be unacceptable.
