NKR: Permanent Agricultural Programs

PERMANENT AGRICULTURAL PROGRAMS

NKR Government Information and
Public Relations Department
April 10, 2010

On April 7, in Hadrut administrative center took place an account
meeting, participated by the head and other members of the NKR
Government. Head of Hadrut regional administration Valeri Gevorgyan
delivered a report on realized and unrealized work.

The year of 2009, in agricultural sense, was unfavourable; we did not
have expected results. Low indices of harvesting were conditioned by
the pest control retardation. This year control was beginned alongside
with sowing, which yielded good results. Favourable conditions were
created for animal husbandry development. Banadzor sub-region has
wide conditions for sheep-breeding; the head of the region attached
importance to the development of small and medium enterprises. In
Hadrut, overall, increase in number of livestock was recorded during
the accounting period.

In the process of organizing productive agricultural activities,
importance was attached to machine and tractor base. The newly received
3 harvester combines considerably furthered lossless harvesting.

By putting in action Varanda reservoir 1000 hectares land will be
cultivated, which’ll promote corn cultivation development. By 2010
corn sowing areas will be widened.

Assistance to Rural Development Fund greatly supports in organizing
agricultural activities; from issued loan in AMD 116 million about
45 million has been returned.

The head of the regional administration reverted to other spheres
as well; capital construction, education and healthcare. In 2009 by
state budget means was carried out about AMD 274 million construction,
roads were reconstructed, put on water pipelines, built houses. A sum
in AMD 55 was expedited to the amelioration of housing conditions
of the perished soldiers. The Artsakh Investment Fund has begun
construction of 9 dwelling houses.

The NKR Prime Minister Ara Haroutyunyan gave his estimation to the
works carried out in Hadrut. He reverted to the programs implemented
in the region by "Hayastan" all-Armenian fund. The state will always
stand by side of a villager.

Automatization of agricultural activities makes the work of a villager
easier, therefore, big sums are allocated to purchase farming
engineering . Drakhtik machine and tractor base will be completed
with new units.

>From July 1, after cropping, concluding a corresponding agreement
with a villager, all agricultural works will be carried out by machine
and tractor stations.

-Crediting must be motivated, credits will be given only to the
responsible creditors,-stressed Ara Haroutyunyan. All agricultural
programs will be continued.

Prime Minister also visited Jrakus village. The most urgent water
problem of Artsakh was solved in this village.

From: Emil Lazarian | Ararat NewsPress

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
