On April 14 Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with US Secretary
of State Hilary Clinton in the framework of the World Nuclear Security
Summit in Washington.
Our correspondent in Washington says Sargsyan and Clinton discussed
the perspectives of Armenia-Turkey normalization. Clinton reaffirmed
US President Barack Obama’s urging to continue the Armenia-Turkey
normalization without pre-conditions.
The parties discussed also issues relating to US-Armenia relations,
as well as to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with
the OSCE Minsk Group’s mediation.
Serzh Sargsyan also met with US congressman Adam Schiff and thanked
him for his active efforts aimed at having the US Congress recognize
the Armenian Genocide, as well as for his effort in supporting Armenia
and Artsakh.
