SARGSYAN’S SPEAKING AT WOODROW WILSON’S GRAVE IS A BRAVE STEP

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s speaking at Woodrow Wilson’s Grave
during a visit to Washington was a brave step, aimed at reminding of
the Treaty of Sevres and Arbitral Award on Turkish-Armenian Boundary
by the United States, said at today’s press conference a political
scientist Stepan Stepanian.

"Laying a wreath at Woodrow Wilson’s Grave was a reminder of the
Treaty of Sevres’ being," said analyst stressing that it’s impossible
to speak about the international recognition of the 1915 Genocide
without territorial claims.

Suggesting that the Armenia-Turkey protocols contain a precondition
about territorial integrity of Turkey and its boundaries, Stepan
Stepanian said he considers the protocols to be not beneficial for
Armenia.

"Actually, genocides will be repeatedly committed if do not eliminate
their effects. Our greatest losses are in 1,5-2 million deaths; we
can’t bring those killed people back to life; however, we’ve lost
the most important thing – most part of our homeland, nearly 90%,
so we have a right to claim compensations," pointed Stepan Stepanian.
