Armenia says `won’t concede on Garabagh’ to mend Turkey ties

Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian has reiterated Yerevan’s
stance on the normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations, claiming the
reconciliation process cannot be linked with the settlement of the
Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh.
Nalbandian told the press that during the meeting between Armenian
President Serzh Sarkisian and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip
Erdogan on Monday, Ankara attempted to discuss Garabagh settlement,
but Yerevan’s reply was the same.
`Turkey cannot be a mediator in the conflict resolution, and Armenia
will never make concessions on the Garabagh issue for the sake of the
Turkish-Armenian [normalization] process,’ Nalbandian said.*

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
