ArmInfo. The Special Investigation Service of Armenia does not rule
out a version of murder of citizen Vahan Khalafyan by the employees
of the Charentsavan police department, the Special Investigation
Service told ArmInfo.

The incident took place on 13 April, when Khalafyan, who was brought
to the Police department on the suspicion of theft, died all of a
sudden. A criminal case has been instituted under Article 110 Part
1 of the Armenian Criminal Code (to suicide). On April 15 the case
was handed to the Special Investigation Service.

Within the frames of the criminal case, a forensic medical examination
was held in the presence of Khalafyan’s relative. Fingerprint
identification is also to be carried out. The investigation is
underway.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
