BAKU AGREED TO TEHRAN’S MEDIATION OVER NAGORNO-KARABAKH

Tehran is proposing to hold a tripartite meeting among Armenian,
Azerbaijani and Iranian foreign ministers over the Nagorno Karabakh
issue, Azerbaijani Trend news agency quotes the Iranian Foreign
Minister Manouchehr Mottacki as saying.

Mottacki said that Iran has said it is ready to mediate over the
Nagorno-Karabakh issue and is planning to organize the tripartite
meeting among the three foreign ministers in Tehran.

He also said that Baku "has already agreed to the proposal" and that
Tehran is waiting for Yerevan’s response.
