US RECOGNIZED THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE … IN 1975

The US recognized the Armenian Genocide in 1975: the Congress has
already passed a resolution the Armenian lobby organizations of America
are trying to promote now, the deputy director of the Armenian Genocide
Museum-Institute Suren Manukyan told reporters today.
"I cannot quite understand the process underway currently as the
Congress has already approved the resolution. Nothing changed then
since there was no Republic of Armenia to make demands. Now the
republic exists and it may refer to the resolution endorsed in 1975
when submitting a petition," he said.
