Ninety-five years have passed after the Armenian Genocide. What
do we have today? "We are too late," leader of the National
Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan told a press conference
today.

"Having had the Treaty of Sevres, which envisaged not only recognition
of the Armenian Genocide, but also elimination of its consequences,
today we’re back where we started," he added.

The National Self-Determination Union is glad to have managed to
persuade the Armenian authorities that it’s necessary to speak
about the elimination of genocide consequences rather than its
acknowledgement, Paruyr Hayrikyan said.

"Speaking about Armenian-Turkish relations, we should speak about
the absence of those relations," he said.

Will the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide become the legal
deadline for condemnation and reimbursement? "All Armenians should
continue struggling for the international recognition and condemnation
of the genocide irrespective of the fact how many years have passed
after that historical event," Paruyr Hayrikyan said.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
