World To Pay Tribute To Armenian Genocide Victims

WORLD TO PAY TRIBUTE TO ARMENIAN GENOCIDE VICTIMS

Today Armenian Genocide victims will be paid tribute to in
different parts of the world. A rally is to take place in Moscow
"Krasnopresnenski Zastav" square near "Street of 1905" metro station
at 14:00 by Moscow time. The mission of the rally is to demand from
Turkey to recognize the Genocide committed by Ottoman Turks. The rally
is authorized by Moscow authorities, Armenian union to Russia reported.

Today a concert will be performed in Moscow music house to commemorate
the 95th jubilee of Armenian Genocide. The organizer of the concert
is Armenian Embassy to Russia supported by Russian Ministry of Culture.

Another rally will be held in Ijevsk attended by local officials,
mass media, etc.

Sochi also got prepared to commemorate Armenian Genocide. "I accuse",
"Mother" films will be on TV today, special mass will be given in St.

Sargis church of Adler region.

Armenian Genocide victims will be commemorated in Strasbourg, Geneva,
Prague, Slovakia and Hungary.

Other countries (USA, France, etc.) are also got prepared to
commemorate Genocide victims murdered by Ottoman Turks. Special
masses, film performance, cultural events are on the agenda. All
those events have one single basic mission to make Turkey recognize
Armenian Genocide.

Panorama.am recalls that Turkey has traditionally rejected the mass
killings of 1,5 million Armenians carried out early in the 20th
century and took the criticism of the West painfully.

The Armenian Genocide has been recognized by lots of states. It was
first recognized by Uruguay in 1965. ), Republic of Cyprus (1982),
Argentina (1993), Russian Federation (1995), Canada (1996), Greece
(1996), Lebanon (1997), Belgium (1998), Vatican (2000), France
(2001), Switzerland (2003), Slovakia (2004), Netherlands (2004),
Poland (2005), Germany (2005), Venezuela (2005), Lithuania (2005),
Chile (2007), Sweden (2010).
