ArmInfo. The Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service (JACES)
at the Justice Ministry of Armenia has put up the goods confiscated
from the MILANO boutique in the center of Yerevan for open auction,
the owners of the boutique told ArmInfo.
To recall, earlier the owners of MILANO said that on March 9 2010
the JACES executors came to their store, handed over a document and
demanded leaving the territory of the shop and remove the property
in a day. On the following day, the executors took the property away
for storage. In two weeks the property was partially returned.
Earlier in January 2007 the Government of Armenia adopted a decision
to implement a number of construction projects in Yerevan for public
needs. The construction sites embrace also the area of MILANO boutique
in Abovyan Street 4. Avo F.M.KH. LLC acquired the right to launch
construction in the given territory. The compensation to Hovhannes
Ghukasyan, one of the owners of MILANO, was estimated at some 207
million drams that were to be paid after making a relevant contract.
Hovhanness Ghukasyan refused to sign the contract worth the given
amount, and when, two years later, he decided to sign the contract,
it was too late: the notary’s office refused to register the contract
on various grounds. "Taking into account that Ghukasyan’s numerous
complaints and applications to the republic’s authorities have
remained without any response, one can suppose that the specified
illegal actions are made under the authorities’ patronage",- says
the statement of MILANO owners.
The JACES press service pointed out the judicial system as a more
effective variant for settlement of disputes. "It would be more correct
if all the complaints about the JACES actions were formulated and
submitted to the court. We have repeatedly called on MILANO owners
to settle the arising problems judicially and not to try to form
a public opinion around the process",- said JACES Press Secretary
Rouben Grdzelyan.
