YEREVAN, APRIL 28, ARMENPRESS: About 88 thousand samples are kept
in Yerevan History Museum. Director of the museum Armine Sargsyan
told Armenpress that in the recent period the museum has received
numerous new exemplars in appearance of donations from Yerevan people,
Diaspora Armenians, different people, who provide documents, photos
and personal items of famous Yerevan people.

The museum cooperates with archeologists, and the materials acquired as
a result of excavations in Yerevan are provided to the History Museum,
too. The exemplars are presented by both temporary and standing
exhibitions. According to A. Sargsyan, over 3 thousand people have
visited the museum in the first quarter of the running year. A.

Sargsyan said in near future they intend to extend an active
inter-museum activity.

The museum will soon be replenished with new furniture. "It is of
great importance for the museum, as the current furniture has been
obtained in the 1950s. The samples need an up-to-date protection"
the director of the museum said.
