Hayastan All-Armenian Fund now accepts online donations
Unprecedented convenience allows supporters worldwide to contribute safely
through Internet
Yerevan, April 28, 2010 – Supporters of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund can
now make online donations anytime and from anywhere in the world, through
the banner on the homepage of the Himnadram main site himnadram.org.
Online donations can be made securely and easily, using Visa, MasterCard,
American Express, Discover, PayPal, debit cards, and bank accounts.
"The option of online giving complements our conventional donation
mechanisms, enabling our worldwide supporters to harness the power of the
Internet to make contributions whenever they wish, and with utmost ease and
peace of mind," said Ara Vardanyan, executive director of the fund.
"We consider the establishment of our online-donation system a major
milestone that benefits our supporters and the fund alike," Vardanyan
continued. "I would like to thank two organizations, Apaga Technologies and
VeriSign, for helping make this achievement possible. VeriSign and Apaga
Technologies have provided EV SSL (Extended Validation Secure Sockets Layer)
certificate, ensuring data encryption and other loss-prevention mechanisms
for simple and secure online transactions."
Apaga Technologies, based in Armenia, and VeriSign, a U.S. company, are
donating their services to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund for a period of
two years.
"We understand the importance of making a difference in the world, which is
why we offered Himnadram a VeriSign EV SSL Certificate to provide their
donors with a safe online experience," said Tim Callan, vice-president of
product marketing at VeriSign. "Himnadram supporters can rest assured that
their monetary contribution will securely reach the organization and help
fund the special projects taking place in Armenia and Artsakh."
"Today the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund is carrying out initiatives of vital
importance to our homeland," said Michel Davoudian, CEO of Apaga
Technologies. "The cooperation with the Fund will contribute to the
efficiency of the Fund’s new initiatives in support of its far-reaching
mission."
