SCHOOLCHILDREN OF LORI MARZ IN THE PARLIAMENT

The visits of the senior classes of the schools of Yerevan and marzes
continue within the framework of the Open Doors programme of the
National Assembly. On April 28 the doors of the National Assembly
were opened for the schoolchildren of different schools of Lori marz
to hear the open lesson and get familiarized with the works of the
legislative body. Later they met with the Speaker of RA National
Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan.

The Head of the Parliament introduced the schoolchildren with the work
of the legislative body, structure and the authorities reserved by
the Constitution. Hovik Abrahamyan also touched upon Armenian-Turkish
relations, the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh problem.

The schoolchildren directed their questions to the Speaker of the
National Assembly, which related to the powers and duties of NA
Speaker, foreign policy, the problems of the senior schools, school
textbooks, the procedure of the debate and adoption of the laws and
other questions. The schoolchildren’s questions were many and of
various kinds, and the NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan promised them to
visit Lori Marz with relevant representatives of Government in the
future, discuss the problems on the spot and solve them.
