ZAMAN. TURKISH-ISRAELI TENSED TIES THREATENED BY NEW CRISIS

Ankara-Tel Aviv tensed ties after Israeli forces invaded Gaza in 2008,
are threatened to live another crisis. Israel’s Knesset pushed Armenian
Genocide issue into agenda since 12 deputies voted for the resolution.

The chairman of opposition "Maretz" party Haim Oron stated; "We as
a nation suffered from Genocide we are obliged to be compassionate
with others’ sufferings. The justice should be restored." Turkish
Zaman writes.

During the panel discussion of 25 minutes opinions for and against
were voiced. "Our home – Israel" partys Robert Italov said that
Knesset wasn’t a place to discuss Armenian Genocide. Another Israeli
politician recommended Knesset’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and
Defense to discuss the issue.

According to the Turkish media though Israeli-Turkish ties are tensed,
working visits among the officials are scheduled and they do take
place.
