According to the Turkish Haber 1, during breaks music of an Armenian
composer Sargis Efendi was heard in the Turkish parliament. The source
says this is unprecedented since usually, in the parliament music of
Bach, Mozart or other European composers is played.

Turkey’s resident of Armenian decent Sargis Efendi was born in Turkey
in 1885, died in Paris in 1944.
