ArmRobotics in Yerevan on May 28
In the frameworks of the Armenian open championship of Robots
(ArmRobotics) the last round of the `Mine searching robot’ will be
held on May 28 in the `Lovers Park’ and will be dedicated to the
celebrations of the First Republic of Armenia.
The championship, since 2008 is being realized by the union of the
Union of Information Technologies Enterprises (UITE) under the high
patronage of the Armenian Prime Minister. The aim of the championship
is to join the youth of Armenia and Diaspora, young scientists, to
rejoin the scientific potential of the Armenians abroad, to develop a
teamwork thinking and working, to promote the entrance of the new
technologies to Armenia.
`During the competition the robots worked out and prepared by the
participants must find the mines hidden in the land and send the map
of the filed with the mines to the server,’ Mariam Nahapetyan the
manager of ArmRobotics told to Aysor.am.
On the final round will be present 13 teams from Armenia and 1 team
from Iran, 2 other teams will be formed by the Iranian and Armenian
students. According to M. Nahapetyan there is no limitation for
participation, `Our smallest participant is 11 years old.’
For the first place M. Nahapetyan said is prepared a prize of 250
thousand drams, for the second place 150 thousand and the third place
100 thousand drams.
It was decided to pass the final rounds of the `Mine searching Robot’
and `Computer Simulation’ on May 9 in Shushi, but as M. Nahapetyan
mentioned the place has been changed because of technical reasons.
She also mentioned that the final round of the `Computer Simulation’
competition will be held on June.
