Today in the National museum – institute of architecture in Yerevan
was held the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition of philologist
Katy Gundakchyan titled "Mountain story of Armenia".

On the exhibition were presented more than 80 photos of the author
which have been made in the West Armenia, during different years.

Q. Gudakchyan mentioned that many years have passed till she has
managed to have a photo camera and has started to make photos, which
has coincided with her leaving for West Armenia. For the first time
she tried to make a photo on the slope of the Mount Ararat.

The author of the photos mentioned that the photos presenting the
West Armenia have been shown in military bases, at schools, YSU.

"The life of a human being is too short, and there are too many things
to take by camera. On the way of going to Polis there are always many
interesting photos taken. The West Armenia is an endless subject. I
wonder how we could give those lands to Turks. We have done what we
had not to do now its time for keeping whatever we have at least,"
stressed Katy Gundakchyan.

On the pictures one can see Ararat from the opposite side, Van, Kars,
churches that are built on high mountains, bridges which are ruined,
waterfalls, rivers.
