Armenian real estate market tends to revive, according to Arman
Petrosyan, a representative of the State Committee of Real Estate
Cadastre.

"The market price for 1 square meter in apartment buildings increased
by 2.6% in Yerevan and by 1.5% in other cities of the republic. Prices
for real estate will hardly go down in the near future," Petrosyan
told reporters on May 5.

He also informed that 36 499 transactions were conducted in the first
quarter of 2010, exceeding the last year’s index by 24.3%.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
