Today on the meeting with the journalists the president of the "Yergir"
union ("Country") Sevak Artsruni touched upon the elections of the
local self-governing bodies in Georgia on May 30 and said that they
are concerned with the events connected with them.

"There are some attempts of depressions against the candidates who
move against the candidates that are presented in the list by the
authorities," informed Sevak Artsruni and added that recently they
have tried to depress different people who, as he says, will soon
make statements.

"We call on the OSCE, call on the European structures to send observers
during and before the elections and to follow this process personally,
as it is a usual process, a usual stage the aim of which is exile of
the Armenian from Javakhk," the speaker noted.
