The Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents’ meeting, which may take place
in the informal CIS summit in Moscow dedicated to the 65th anniversary
of the victory over fascism, can become productive, chairman of the
Center for Political Innovation and Technologies Mubariz Ahmadoglu
told Trend.

If the meeting is not held, it would mean Armenia’s unwillingness to
resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully, Ahmadoglu said.

"Thus, Armenia will let down the OSCE Minsk Group, patronizing it
for 20 years, he said.

Ahmadoglu believes the meeting in Moscow will not be a test for
Armenia, but for the co-chairs. "The co-chairs’ position on the
security and stability in Azerbaijan and the Caucasus, as well as
their attitude to their mediation mission will become clearer after
this meeting," Ahmadoglu said.

He said following the summit it would be possible to speak about
the position of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group, as well as the
possibility of alternative means to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict, that is, the possible stress of military-political situation
in the region and the beginning of hostilities.

"If war starts, all the responsibility will fell to Armenia, as well
as Russia, France and the U.S. acting as mediators in resolving the
conflict," Ahmadoglu said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
