S. Yesayan: `May is a Month of victories for the Armenians’
`May is month of victories for the Armenian people; the war of
Vardanants, Battle of Sardarapat, the Great Patriotic War, the war for
Shushi liberation,’ stated Simon Yesayan on the meeting with the
journalists.
S. Yesayan informed that they are going to celebrate the victory of
the Great Patriotic War where the Armenians have had a great
contribution. There have been around 600 Armenians that have
participated in the Great Patriotic, from other countries and Diaspora
as well. 200 ` 250 thousand has fallen heroically.
We gave more than 100s of heroes during the war time 2 of which were
Hovhannes Baghramyan and Nelson Stepanyan, they are double heroes
while non of the Caucasian people gave double heroes yet.
S. Yesayan informed that today in the Republic of Armenia live around
3600 veterans many of whom live in not so good conditions, and they
have many social problems.
`The RA Government has done some improvements, especially in
connection with the investments. In approximately one month they will
return the investments.’, S. Yesayan said.
