India to host exhibition of Armenian products
This year India will first ever host the exhibition of the Armenian
products, told journalists chairman of the Armenian Chamber of
Commerce, Martin Sarkisian. `It’s scheduled to hold the exhibition in
October-November; many Armenian companies have already confirmed their
interest to participate in the event,’ said Sarkisian. At the current
stage of works, the organizers are clarifying list of the goods to
arouse interest among the Indian consumers. And these are mostly soft
drinks and alcohol. Indian Ambassador to Armenia Achal Kumar
Malhotra, in his part, said that the mostly demanded in India product
of Armenia is the Armenian Brandy. It’s worth mentioning that today
the third exhibition of the Indian products has been kicked off in
Armenia. The turnover between Armenia and India was $46 million in
2009, of these $44 million is import, and other $2 million – export.
